Marcosas Cottages Resort - A home away from home accommodation located in Panagsama Beach, Moalboal. If you want a very relaxing and peaceful ambiance, this place is the perfect spot. It doesn't have a sea view but the place is just a 1 min. walk to the beach, close to the restaurants, and entertainment hubs. The resort offers several types of fully furnished cottages equipped with standard amenities for guests' comfort and convenience such as air-conditioning, TV and a private bathroom with hot & cold shower. All cottages are comfortably solidly built with Italian tiles and Philippine rattan furniture. You can take a refreshing dip at the 165 sqm. swimming pool with onsite impressive gardens. The resort has its own restaurant which serves variety of foods at a very reasonable price, a Meddah Spa which offers a Swedish, Hilot, Thai and hot stone massages. Going to Gigantes Island was our main plan but before going to the island we decided to stay first in Carles instead of staying in Iloilo City, to be sure that we won't be late on the following day for our Gigantes trip, so I searched on the net for a nice place to stay in Carles, I contacted many resorts and they were all fully booked.. and good thing I saw this blog about Punta Carles Beach Resort, and I was lucky enough that they still had available room good for 8pax. It was a great relief on my part because at last I found a place for us. Punta Carles Beach Resort is located in Brgy. Punta, Carles, Iloilo. It would take you at least 30 minutes tricycle ride from Balasan Terminal, fare is usually 300php (good for 4) because it's quite far. The resort offers a dormitory type accommodation with aircon and common CR, a large pavilion for social functions and nipa huts for picnic goers. The resort is not fully developed but it offers a very relaxing ambiance because of it

The group of islands and islets, popularly known as Islas de Gigantes or Gigantes Islands is located in the Municipality of Carles and the northernmost part of the Province of Iloilo. Gigantes Island is consist of about ten islands, and the two largest are the Gigantest Norte (North Gigantes) and Gigantes Sur (South Gigantes). The islands are blessed with white sand beaches and crystal clear waters and is also known as the scallop capital of the Philippines. The ten islets of I slas de Gigantes are the Cabugao Gamay, Cabugay Daku, Balbagon, Waydahun, Bulubadiang, Bantigue, Gigantillo, Gakitgakit, Gigantona and Ojatras. Where do broken hearts go? SAGADA.. That famous movie "That thing called Tadhana" was the reason why the place became popular specially the Kiltepan Viewpoint (Where Angelica shouted when she got her heart broken). I went to Sagada not because I got my heart broken, no I'm not broken hearted when I went there. Yes I'm really not hahaha! I went their because when I fall in love with the place, it's like love at first sight when I saw it on the movie.
